Although not the traditional Father’s Day gift, our grass fed, dry-aged steaks from native breed cattle are the meatiest way to show you care.

AND because we work with Hubbub – a delivery service that brings Londoners the best food shops, producers and market stalls in one online order – you can order sat at your desk or the comfort of your own home in minutes, without so much as lifting a finger.

Hubbub are also offering new customers £20 off the first order if you spend £50 or over – that’s sure to get you in dad’s good books. Simply enter the code GPIG20 at the checkout and patiently wait for those steaks to land on your doorstep.

Butchery Classes

Something you can really get stuck into if you’re looking for a gift to enjoy together as a father and son/daughter outing. Our hands-on butchery classes are designed to take students back to basics, to give a good grounding in traditional butchery skills and teach you what to look for when buying meat and cooking tips on how to get the most from each cut. These classes are relaxed, informative, fun and brilliant for anyone wanting to know a little more about their meat.

Students receive a 3.5 hour lesson including a two-course meal with wine, and their handiwork – a joint or sausages – to take home.

Books

An easy win! We’d recommend our original tome, Ginger Pig Meat Book. It gives a great introduction to meat, explaining where cuts are found on each animal and what to look and ask for when buying produce. It’s set within a year on Grange Farm, so there’s plenty to read besides recipes.

A sneaky tip for next year: you can complete the set and buy our second book, The Farmhouse Cook Book for dad next Father’s Day. This one takes a more holistic look at rural life, and is ideal for anyone wanting to grab a slice of the good life at home.
