Abbeville Road SW4 – open now

After months of planning, drawing, sawing, hammering, sweating, fridge-building, butcher-finding and lots else besides, our Abbeville Road shop is open for business – hurrah! The butchery is full of meat, the traiteur counter packed with roast and cured meats, pâtés, terrines, prepared dishes and – of course – lots and lots of pies, freshly made in the bakery at the farm. Each lunchtime we’re serving hot roast sandwiches with all the trimmings, warm sausage rolls and smaller cold pies to takeaway. If you live or work nearby and have a suggestion for new dishes or products please do let us know, either by email (hello@thegingerpig.co.uk) or in the shop, and we’ll see what we can do.

We’ve been made to feel extremely welcome so far, both by local residents – our first customer was through the door at 9:01am! – and nearby businesses alike. The area around Abbeville Road feels like a tight knit community, of which we look forward to becoming a part.
